The Challenge
Athletes don’t settle for average, and neither does Adidas. With many of their sponsored athletes taking to the baseball field at the World Series, Adidas wanted to show up in as many ways as possible.
Already, the Adidas team had orchestrated several ways to celebrate their amazing sportspeople and cement their presence. Television advertising? Digital banners? Check and check.
But the team wanted to do more. They wanted to get as close to the fans - their customers - as possible.
So, the company decided to go into the stadium seats, taking the beloved sporting staple of popcorn, and spinning it with a unique brand twist.
I look forward to the MLB every year because this is the closest that we get to our target consumer. We talk about this a lot. We’re trying to be consumer obsessed. We want to make sure Adidas is what they choose.

The Solution
Adidas knows the power of personalized experiences to skyrocket customer engagement and drive sales. So when they contacted us asking for personalized popcorn box designs, we knew we needed to think outside the box (pun intended).
Guided by the Adidas team’s bold vision to create a box that was colorful, punchy and captivating, our team quickly put together mock-up designs, while advising Adidas’ on critical production factors like shape, dimensions, coating and embossing.
Artwork approved, it was time to get popping. The Adidas team needed thousands of boxes in under a week, and we’re happy to say we hit it out the park.
The Results
We shipped Adidas’s eye-catching boxes to Washington and Houston ahead of the World Series, where they were received by game-goers with open arms.
For the brand, the boxes were a double win. They enabled Adidas to stay in the hearts and minds of fans both in the stadium and from home, thanks to ongoing TV coverage that highlighted the boxes’ mesmerizing design.
Ultimately, both on and off the field, the Adidas brand was truly woven into the DNA of the World Series.

Starting a new business project I was in the market for packing. I contacted well over 2 dozen printers. IF they even got back to me, they were less than helpful. I felt their prices were extremely high, with no support. Brian at Refine Packaging got back to me immediately. Helped me design my package. And their pricing was 1/3 the cost of the competitors.
